Philippines Independence Day is one of the most memorable dates in the history of our country. Being said, every 12th of June is a must day for every Filipino to celebrate. Philippine Flags are all over different establishments here in the Philippines. Even public transportation vehicles have this on their respective vehicles.



Being said, even our Overseas Filipino Workers or OFW) from different countries are all celebrating this date.

In line with that, a Facebook post went viral as a netizen named, Virgie Romuar posted a photo of Burj Khalifa & Dubai Festival City celebrating with the Filipino people. They light up the Burj Khalifa & Dubai Festival City featuring the Philippine flag and other Filipino pride such as Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao and places and culture of the Philippines.

According to the said post, it is the first time in the history of UAE. With this, a lot of Filipinos were very happy and overwhelmed because of this recognition especially during our country’s Independence Day.


Virgie also said that she can really hear a loud scream of happiness from every Filipinos in Dubai. They can really feel the Philippines in Dubai even it really far from the Philippines.

It feels so proud that other country can also recognize such a special event in our lives as a Filipino.
